Every now and then I get in these moods where I listen to POP
music! It's totally not me, but sometimes I just need a break
from  alternative rock. Usually at about the same time this
happens, I also drink more milk. I have had a glass every day
for the last week and I never drink milk. Is there a connection?
I have no idea and it's weird, I know, but the time has come
and I am feeling the beat. Milk does a body good and so does a
little POP music!

I found this picture on the  web and loved it. It was under
Pop music images, among many others (some were pretty
scary), but this one stood out at me and it says a lot about
how I'm feeling right now. I'll leave that up to you to figure
out, if you want to....or not:)

I added some of my current
favorite POP songs to my playlist.
Enjoy it or turn it off if you can't handle it, but I recommend
listening and dancing to the beat. I have been and I feel
pretty good!

I wish so bad I could pull off an outfit like that! The 80's were
so COOL!

On a side note check out Eden's Bouquet for a giveaway
she is having. Her designs are beautiful and so is her
blog.

I am so excited that I get to be a part of LimeVine's first
guest launch ever! This launch is packed with amazing
designs. You may ask yourself, "Is Chelsea totally crazy?
Why is she doing a launch 2 weeks before Quilt Market?"
My answer to that is, YES! I am crazy, but I would be even
more crazy to not participate. I mean, just LOOK at all of
these amazing designs!

Don't worry, I didn't stress myself out and work into the
wee hours of the morning making this set, last night.
I did that weeks ago when I was getting it ready to put
in my pattern book! That is what makes it even more
special. I don't know if I will ever have a chance to make
this more than one time so you could be owning a totally
original outfit from my very own book! How cool is that?

I had my first trunk show recently at a fabulous little
quilt shop here in my home town of Salt Lake City,
Utah. Nadine, the owner of Material Girls Quilts hosted
a sample show of my patterns and it went really well!

She took over 100 names of people who are waiting
for the patterns to arrive. One was a neighbor of mine
who came up to me at church and asked about them.
That was the moment that reality set in! I tried to keep
my cool and talked to her about them like I was an old
pro at pattern making, but inside I was freaking out.

(look at how big this shop is!)

Needless to say, I am really excited, but scared at the
same time. Getting this business going and getting ready
for market has been a huge challenge for me, one I didn't
really expect. I feel like everything has worked out
according to God's will and this opportunity could not
have come at a more important time in my life. I'll
spare you the details, but if this all works out, it may
just save my family's life and help my kids have a
mother who is able to stay at home and only be a
crazy women 2 months out of the year, right before
quilt market. (Sorry kids) They are so patient and
understanding because I really look and sometimes
act like a lunatic, but they still love me!

(see, she still smiles at me and don't you love the
bike helmet that serves as her portable toy basket?
she cracks me up!)

I have learned a lot this first time around and hope
that all of the kinks will be worked out for the Fall Market!
Please be gentle, when you get your patterns and if you
have any comments or constructive criticism that can help
make them better I am begging you to email me and let me
know. I am totally open for improvements!

Now, back to the quilt shop! This shop was just featured
in The Better Homes and Garden Quilt Sampler magazine
as  one of the top 10 shops of 2008. It is HUGE and filled with
my favorite fabrics, incredible quilts, patterns, trims, and
they offer classes. I love coming here to check out the
selection and I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and
lovely, helpful, fabric cutting hands:) You can also order
fabrics on-line by clicking HERE. Thanks Nadine for showing
my designs in your shop! I can't wait to see you at Market!

SHOE SALE!!!

I went to a puddle jumper shoe sale the other day and
found some adorable shoes, but when I got home some
of them were the wrong size and they had a no-return
policy:( I also bought some extra's and have decided that
I don't need them. So, I thought I would offer these up on
my blog for sale.

Email me at vintagechicboutique@comcast.net
if you are interested. I'll leave them on here for a few days and
what's left will go on ebay.
