It was Awesome!!! I had such a great time at this market. Portland is beautiful and the weather was so nice and warm. I have mixed emotions about being home and done with it all. On the one hand, I was exhausted by the time it ended on Sunday and ready to come home to my family, but on the other I was sad to leave. Being there among fabric designers, 3000 exhibitors, shop owners, fellow bloggers, and boutique designers was amazing. It made all the hard work feel worth it. Being able to share something you love to do with other's who have similar interests and get their feedback is so cool! It put everything in perspective for me and motivated me to keep going.
As for my pattern debut, it went really well. The response was overwhelming! I have about 100 business cards to go through and phone calls to make. I'm guessing I'll know in the next month exactly where this road is going to take me. I will keep you posted on everything:) Check my Pink Fig Pattern Blog for updates on the patterns, tutorials on techniques, and for a list of places you can purchase my patterns!
I had an opportunity arise while I was there that will unravel over the next few days. It's not only fun for me, but will be fun for you too! The booths done by the fabric designers were incredible! Everyone had different themes and ideas and it gave variety and flavor to the show. So I'm going to post a different booth every couple of days for the next week leading up to the one that was my favorite. They were all incredible, but this one was a breath of fresh air! On Wednesday
May 28th the booth winner will be shown. Leave a comment about the winning booth and you will be entered in a drawing to win a prize that was donated by the designer! IT IS SO COOL!!!!
For the first featured booth I decided to show my own. It's nothing spectacular, but all in all it turned out pretty good for the first time around. Tell me what you think!
I learned a lot about what not to do and hopefully Houston
Market will go a little smoother. I really did have a blast and
I am so grateful for this opportunity and excited for the
adventure that lies ahead.
Check back in a day or 2 for the next featured booth.
~Chelsea

Your booth was so great Chelsea! I knew it was yours the moment I saw it. It definately POPPED next to others and had a style that was recognizable and drew you in! I heard SEVERAL great comments while there about your booth. Lots of curious on-lookers as to who was the great new pattern gal! :)
Congrats on all your success at Market! I'll be back to see what other booths you chose to feature!

Chelsea,
I have had so much fun looking at your blog tonight, and I'm really proud of you for getting all those photos out and organized, and writing about everything so eloquently! When do you do it!? Actually I know the answer to that.
But why can't I do it like you?
I did love your booth, and I did have a great time with you there, and I am so proud of you and all that is happening to you and for you right now. You deserve it!
Can I steal some of your pictures???
