You kind of knew it was her right? She is the winner of my personal choice for Best Booth. It was so bright, fresh, and just took your breath away. We talked with her husband for a minute about the design of the booth and it was really amazing and so original. Read on because you could win a piece of it!!!
They made GIANT rub on's of her artwork done in flowers, butterflies, and sweet phrases, and placed them all over the walls. The flower collages of her fabrics were printed out, glued onto a big board, and then hand cut! The lighting, white furniture accented with pillows, bean bags, purses on the walls, and fresh cut flowers were stunning. Amy herself was there to answer any questions, sell you her patterns, sign books, and introduce her new line of sewing projects for baby and mom. She was also debuting her 3 lines of fabric and solids! She has Midwest Modern (quilting weight), August Fields (home dec), and Daisy Chain (quilting and fashion weight).
Amy is the kindest, most humble person. We were showering her with compliments and she accepted them so gracefully. You can tell by talking with her and her husband that they are good, kind, genuine people. I really admire and look up to them both for all of their hard work and team work.
When I mentioned that I would like to feature their booth on my blog for Best Booth, they offered to send me some things to give away to my readers. So.......here it is: I will be giving away some Rub On's, like you see in the pictures on her walls and some of her patterns to 3 lucky winners. All you have to do is leave a comment about her booth, fabric, patterns, or her and you will be entered in the drawing! The winners will be announced on Friday June 13. Are you excited? I am:)Congratulations Amy on all of your success! We love you and are always waiting to see what new things you have created for us! See you in Houston in the Fall!

Chelsea
It was Awesome!!! I had such a great time at this market. Portland is beautiful and the weather was so nice and warm. I have mixed emotions about being home and done with it all. On the one hand, I was exhausted by the time it ended on Sunday and ready to come home to my family, but on the other I was sad to leave. Being there among fabric designers, 3000 exhibitors, shop owners, fellow bloggers, and boutique designers was amazing. It made all the hard work feel worth it. Being able to share something you love to do with other's who have similar interests and get their feedback is so cool! It put everything in perspective for me and motivated me to keep going.
As for my pattern debut, it went really well. The response was overwhelming! I have about 100 business cards to go through and phone calls to make. I'm guessing I'll know in the next month exactly where this road is going to take me. I will keep you posted on everything:) Check my Pink Fig Pattern Blog for updates on the patterns, tutorials on techniques, and for a list of places you can purchase my patterns!
I had an opportunity arise while I was there that will unravel over the next few days. It's not only fun for me, but will be fun for you too! The booths done by the fabric designers were incredible! Everyone had different themes and ideas and it gave variety and flavor to the show. So I'm going to post a different booth every couple of days for the next week leading up to the one that was my favorite. They were all incredible, but this one was a breath of fresh air! On Wednesday
May 28th the booth winner will be shown. Leave a comment about the winning booth and you will be entered in a drawing to win a prize that was donated by the designer! IT IS SO COOL!!!!
For the first featured booth I decided to show my own. It's nothing spectacular, but all in all it turned out pretty good for the first time around. Tell me what you think!
I learned a lot about what not to do and hopefully Houston
Market will go a little smoother. I really did have a blast and
I am so grateful for this opportunity and excited for the
adventure that lies ahead.
Check back in a day or 2 for the next featured booth.

Quilt market is in 4 days! I am totally freaking out,but in a good way.The anticipation is almost over and all the hard work will 'hopefully' soon pay off! Here is a sample set I made to display in my booth out of Lila's fabric.
I love this line so much. The floral prints and vibrant colors are perfect for spring and summer. She has several different color ways to choose from, so possibilities are pretty much endless! I have had a blast sewing with it these last few weeks and I can't wait for it to debut. I had about 20 different ideas of things to make, but time only permitted me to get 4 outfits done. If I have time in the next day or 2 before I go, I'll post some pictures of the other outfits~ Her entire line will be available in my Pink Fig Fabric shops on Etsy and Ebay this summer!
Every now and then I get in these moods where I listen to POP music! It's totally not me, but sometimes I just need a break from alternative rock. Usually at about the same time this happens, I also drink more milk. I have had a glass every day for the last week and I never drink milk. Is there a connection? I have no idea and it's weird, I know, but the time has come
and I am feeling the beat. Milk does a body good and so does a little POP music!
I found this picture on the web and loved it. It was under Pop music images, among many others (some were pretty scary), but this one stood out at me and it says a lot about how I'm feeling right now. I'll leave that up to you to figure it out, if you want to....or not:)
I added some of my current favorite POP songs to my playlist. Enjoy it or turn it off if you can't handle it, but I recommend listening and dancing to the beat. I have been and I feel pretty good!
I wish so bad I could pull off an outfit like that! The 80's were so COOL!
On a side note check out Eden's Bouquet for a giveaway she is having. Her designs are beautiful and so is her blog.

I am so excited that I get to be a part of LimeVine's first guest launch ever! This launch is packed with amazing designs. You may ask yourself, "Is Chelsea totally crazy? Why is she doing a launch 2 weeks before Quilt Market?" My answer to that is, YES! I am crazy, but I would be even more crazy to not participate. I mean, just LOOK at all of these amazing designs!
Don't worry, I didn't stress myself out and work into the wee hours of the morning making this set, last night. I did that weeks ago when I was getting it ready to put in my pattern book! That is what makes it even more special. I don't know if I will ever have a chance to make this more than one time so you could be owning a totally original outfit from my very own book! How cool is that?

Have a great weekend!
